SYRIA

Location: Syria is located at the crossroads of the three old continents: Asia, Europe & Africa. Neighbored by: Lebanon & the Mediterranean at the west, Turkey at the north, Iraq at the east, Jordan & Palestine at the south.
Total Area: 185,100 Sq. km.
Climate: Pleasant Mediterranean climate with four distinct seasons.

Museums & citadels close on Tuesdays in Syria.

Electricity: 220 volts A.C. / 50 hz.
Visa: Individuals should obtain there Valid Passports & visas from the Syrian Embassy or consult in there countries before coming to Syria. In case there is no Syrian Embassy or consult visas can be given directly at the borders.

For groups of 8 Persons or more visa can be given directly at the borders.

Language: In addition to the official language (Arabic), many Syrians can speak English or French. Some of the educated Syrians are multilingual.
Currency: The Syrian Pound (called Lira) is divided into 100 Piastres.

The banknotes/coins are: 1 - 2 - 5 - 10 - 25 - 50 - 100 - 500 Liras

Credit cards are accepted in most of the hotels & restaurants, some stores also accept Major credit cards.

Location: Lebanon is located at the meeting point of the three continents , on the western edge of the Asian Continent on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean. Bordered by Syria on the north & East , Palestine to the south & The Mediterranean to the west.
Total Area: 10,452 Sq. km.

Language: The average of Lebanese are often fluent in French or English in addition to their native Language. Many well educated Lebanese are multilingual.

JORDAN

Location: Jordan is situated between the Mediterranean sea & the Arabian Peninsula, bordered by: Syria & Iraq from the north, Saudi Arabia from the east & south, The Read Sea (Gulf of Aqaba) from the southern-west & Palestine from the west.
Total Area: 98,500 Sq. km.
Climate: Semi-arid, pleasant sunny days & cool nights.

Average Temperature in Amman:

March to October: 23 C (37 F)

November to April: 12 C (55 F)

Time: GMT +2 Hours in Winter

GMT +3 Hours in Summer

Electricity:

AC 50 cycles, 220 Volts.

Visa: Visitor to Jordan must have a valid Passport & Visa to Jordan. Visas are delivered by Jordanian diplomatic missions abroad.
